New Forest

The New Forest is situated in the county of Hampshire in the south of England. It is a forest with a rich and diverse history that spans many hundreds of years. It now has National Park status to help ensure that its beautiful environment remains that way.

This is especially important in modern times, as the forest is a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike.

There are many different events that take place there every year and there is definitely 'something for everyone', whatever your age or personal interests. If you are planning to visit the New Forest you may wish to make an overnight stop, or perhaps spend a long weekend there. If this is the case there are many guest houses and hotels which can accommodate you.

The forest is home to many creatures great and small, many of whom are free to roam at their will. For this reason, when driving please respect their safety and drive carefully and slowly.

If you are feeling energetic you may wish to hire a bike to see the sights of the forest. Alternatively, many people visit the New Forest to take advantage of its lovely setting for walking or horse riding. You may well spot some New Forest ponies or even a Red Deer!
